  • Are there a minimum number of visits per day while I’m away on vacation?
For Cats Dogs and Love values the health and safety of your pets over anything else. We recommend no less than 1 daily visit for cats, 2 daily visits for dogs and 3 daily visits for puppies under 6 months. We are sorry but we cannot accept appointments for less than the recommended minimum standard of care.
  • My friend or neighbor usually takes care of my pets while I’m away.  Can For Cats Dogs and Love fill in on days when they are not available?
We are sorry but we will not accept job shares where a friend or neighbor does some visits and misses others. The health and safety of your pet is our priority. We will not share responsibility with a 3rd party while you are away. There are too many things that can go wrong, such as problems with over-feeding, unlocked doors, lost keys, missed feedings, etc.
  • What are your policy on pet sitting and dog walking when the weather affects visitations?
As long as the weather does not pose a threat to neither us nor the pet(s) we will certainly stay on schedule to ensure proper care during scheduled visitations. It’s possible that inclement weather (i.e. heavy rain, extreme heat) can potentially delay scheduled arrival times. We will do everything we can to keep your pets safe. When such weather conditions occur please understand that your dog’s walk may greatly be shortened to only allow for a quick potty break. However, we will still stay with your pet(s) for the duration of the scheduled visit inside the safety and comfort of your home.
  • How will you disciple my pets?
For Cats Dogs and Love believes in positive reinforcement for the pets in our care. We will never hit, spank, slap, yank the leash, yell, shock or grab your pet. If there is a disciplinary problem, i.e. toilet training issues, running away, etc., We will inform my client of the incident(s) and together we will work out a solution.

Yes, we will administer medication, pills, drops and/or injections with your vet’s written approval and directions. However, we cannot administer medication to any animal that poses a danger to us.
  • Do you pick up my dog’s waste when you are walking?
Yes, we do and we use eco-friendly nylon bags.
  • What happens if I did not leave enough food for my pet(s)?
We will notify you that there is not enough food so that you are aware and perhaps you have more food in another place in your home. If we do need to make a special trip to purchase food we will be glad to do so. There will be a €5 trip charge plus the cost of the food.
